Why Risk it?
How many units can I drink before driving?
The legal drink drive limit cannot be safely converted into units, as it depends on a number of factors including weight, age, gender and recent food consumption.
What is the UK drink driving limit?
35 micrograms of alcohol per 100 ml of breath.
80 milligrams of alcohol per 100 ml of blood.
107 milligrams of alcohol per 100 ml of urine.
How long before I am sober enough to drive.
Depending on how much you had to drink, you could still be over the limit the 'morning after'. Sleep, coffee and cold showers do not help sober you up.
There are no excuses
Alcohol effects everybody's driving for the worse. It creates a feeling of over confidence, makes judging distance and speed more difficult and slows your reactions so it takes longer to brake.
It's not worth the risk
In 2010, 250 people died due to drink driving. By drinking and driving, you risk your life and those of your passengers and others on the road.
You risk a fine of up to £5,000, a minimum 12-month driving ban and a criminal record.
