Terms and Conditions
Payment
Personal Members can pay at point of booking over the telephone by credit or debit card. Alternatively, clients can pay cash or cheque (with guarantee card) directly to the driver at the end of the journey.
Corporate members will be invoiced monthly; late payments will be subject to a £5 administration fee.
All prices are subject to change.
Bookings
Answer machine messages dealt with within 1 hour of office opening (5pm).
Online bookings processed & confirmed within 1 hour of receipt during office opening hours. Scoot will call to confirm your booking by telephone.
Amendments
Any amendments required to time or journey must be requested in advance by contacting the Scoot office, not through the Scoot drivers.
Amendments to bookings must be made at least 45 minutes before commencement of journey. Any amendments requested within 45 minutes of booking are arranged at Scoots discretion.
Amendments to journey, including drop offs en-route, will be re-priced & charged accordingly.
Booking Reminder
Scoot will try to remind clients of their booking approximately 5 minutes prior to the commencement of their journey by giving 2 rings to a mobile or landline telephone number. The onus is on the client to be at the car for the time booked.
Waiting Time Charge
The first 5 minutes following time booked are free of charge. Any subsequent waiting time will be charged at 50p per minute.
This charge will also be applied if asked to stop off en-route. There is no free waiting time during a stop off. Waiting times are at Scoots discretion. Delay to your booking may result in other bookings being affected.
Scoot will wait a maximum of 15 minutes during busy periods. The full fare will be charged for non-appearance. The waiting time charge will not be applied in this instance.
Vehicles
Scoot drivers are fully comprehensively insured to drive any vehicle. Our insurance cover is up to £50,000.
Clients with cars that have particularly small boots should check with Scoot in the first instance to ensure the scooter can be accommodated.
Clients who wish to have the scooter placed on the back seat of their car do so at their own risk.
Scoot cannot carry more passengers than the vehicle is designed to carry. Please leave room for the driver.
Cancellations
Clients who wish to cancel their booking should do so 1 hour prior to commencement of journey.
Journeys cancelled within 1 hour of booking will be charged the minimum fare of £10.
Journeys cancelled within 30 minutes hour of booking will be charged the full fare.
Scoot reserves the right to cancel any journey, for any reason, at any time.
